Italian Kitchen: The Italian Table, Downtown Edition
Somewhere in every good Italian meal there’s a moment when the table stops being separate plates and becomes one shared feast. Italian Kitchen builds its whole identity around that moment. The Glowbal group’s downtown trattoria-in-a-tuxedo rolls its pasta fresh every morning, serves it family-style, and lets “Old World Charm, New World Vibe” do exactly what it promises.
The Concept
Within the Glowbal Restaurant Group’s constellation, Italian Kitchen is the warm one — classic Italian cooking delivered with contemporary polish and an explicit philosophy: The Art of Sharing. The menu tours Italy’s regions in rotating spotlights (Sardegna holds the current one), while the daily pasta production anchors everything. Downstairs hums; upstairs glows; the kitchen holds both together.
What to Order
Build the table around the classics: spaghetti with Kobe meatballs, the truffle spaghetti whose marinara-truffle pairing has become a house legend, pillowy gnocchi and the Quattro Formaggi pizza. For occasions, aim higher — the 100 Layer Lasagna gracing Sunday dinners, or the tableside linguine cacio e pepe crowned with fresh lobster, finished in front of you. Antipasti to open, tiramisu to close, Italian bottles throughout.
The Space
Two personalities under one roof: a lively ground floor with a walk-in bar and lounge, and a softer, more intimate upper level suited to anniversaries and slow conversations. Semi-private rooms La Serra and La Luce host celebrations, and chef-led pasta classes turn regulars into students.
Who It’s For
Family dinners where three generations need one menu, romantic evenings upstairs, celebration tables passing platters, and anyone who believes handmade pasta is a love language.
Good to Know
Should I book ahead? Yes for evenings — and well ahead for Sundays, when the lasagna draws its faithful.
Is it truly family-style? Dishes are designed for the middle of the table — come in company.
What’s the romantic move? The upstairs floor, a bottle of Italian red, and the tableside cacio e pepe.
Are children welcome? Warmly — shared pasta was practically invented for families.
Can it host a private event? Yes — La Serra and La Luce cover parties from eighteen to thirty-four guests.
